Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue. Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. I have run as admin, also logged in locally and on safe mode. I have Windows 7. I didnt have net 4. You wont be able to install in safe mode as the windows installer service doesn't start unless running windows normally. Hi, Yes it is 64bit. It seems that the installation is corrupted therefore im unable to uninstall or install.

Will F will be able to confirm, but your error code above is a permission denied - do you have the rights to remove software? Hi, Yes, i have domain admin access on my login. I also tried login in locally on my Windows admin account. I'd like that script sent to me as well. I'm having a simillar issue where i cannot uninstall network monitor manually.

Hi, you can uninstall the network monitor ending the process called sweventstoresvc. I am also unable to uninstall Network Monitor.

I tried it from the Control Panel, and then I tried it from the Setup program. Same error both times. I tried the first step, and it didn't fix the problem. I don't want to try the 2nd step because this is a server that has other things on it that I don't want to disturb.

I haven't had any trouble with anything else, or installing or uninstalling anything else, so I don't think we can just blame. Really, I thought that this program was a plugin for Spiceworks, rather than a standalone program, or I never would have installed it on this server. I've seen that many others have had trouble uninstalling it, and that a special tool has been necessary in the past.

This is both frustrating and ridiculous. Network monitor shouldn't be installed on the Spiceworks server or any other server with existing applications, regardless of what they are. In this article, I'll show you exactly how to do that. If you need to delete a previously created drive mapping, the first thing you must do is open File Explorer if you use Windows 10 or Windows 8.

To remove a drive mapping towards a network folder or FTP site, right-click on it and select Delete. The deleted mapped drives will stop showing.

To restore them, you will have to create them again. One method that works in all modern versions of Windows is to use the Command Prompt. Then, press Enter.

An important fact to consider is that this only works for drive mappings which have a letter assigned. For network location mappings such as FTP servers or web servers, this command does not work. A network location mapping is actually a shortcut stored as a file on your Windows PC. If you can't delete it using the first method we've shown, you can try others. In the Network Shortcuts folder, you will find all network location mappings. Select the ones you no longer want to use and delete them by using the right-click menu and selecting Delete or or by pressing Delete on your keyboard.

If you're using Windows 7, you must also confirm that you want to remove the selected item s. If you're using Windows 10 or 8.
